Frequently Asked Questions
How does buying course licenses work?
In the Marketplace, you are able to purchase course licenses on a per user basis, so that you can pay only for the course licenses that you need. When you add a course to your cart, you will be asked how many licenses you would like to purchase for that course.
For most courses, buying licenses in bulk will come with a discount, which will be shown to you in the cart. Once you have checked out and paid for the course licenses, you can assign those licenses to specific users in your establishment, so that you can ensure the correct learners get the courses which are most relevant to them.
If I make a purchase, can another manager assign a license for that course to one of their learners?
Yes - purchases become available to all learners in the hotel and are not limited on a per-manager basis. Often managers oversee learners across multiple departments, and in many cases, purchasing through credit card is limited only to certain managers. This means that in order to allow flexibility of assignment, it was necessary to make the available courses reflect for the entire establishment.
Where do I find the invoice?
The invoice / receipt for purchases made on Pay to Play will be emailed after the purchase is successful. You will be asked to enter your preferred address during the credit cart checkout process.
Can a license that I have purchased be reused? What if I give a license to a user and they are disabled?
If the learner starts the course (watches a video, writes an assessment), that course will be marked as 'consumed'. In this sense, a license is not to be considered a 'transferable seat' - rather, it is something consumable that, once used, cannot be sent on to another user. In this case, should the learner leave the establishment and be disabled by the Manager, the license for that course will not become available to re-assign. Should a learner be assigned a course and not 'start' it, if that learner is disabled, the license will become available to reassign to another learner.
