Here are a few tips to make the most of your learning material:
Tip 1:
Ask
If you're unsure about something you have learned or you need someone to explain it in more detail, it's always a great idea to ask your manager or training facilitator. They are there to help you! You can also ask your colleagues as they may have some experience handling the concept you are struggling with. If you are still struggling, feel free to contact us by email at support@lobsterink.com and we will try our best to help you find a solution.
Tip 2:
Active Learning
Learning actively means that you are engaging with your learning material while you are watching and listening. Sit up straight, pay close attention and make notes in your notebook, jotting down any important information or questions that may arise while you study.
Writing down notes is a fantastic way to add to your learning process. If you hear something new, useful or worthy of further enquiry, be sure to write it down in a notebook, and review it after the lesson. This will really help make the knowledge stick.
Tip 3:
Learn from your mistakes
Mistakes are one of the best tools for learning. Once you have submitted an assessment and you see that some of your answers are incorrect, make sure that you grab your notebook and take notes about the answers that you missed, and why they were incorrect. This will help you a great deal the next time you face the situation in the workplace, or the next time you are asked a similar question.
So, in summary, make sure you are always practicing active learning. Ask questions, take notes, read through your old notes and assessment questions, and prepare for your practical assessments by reading ahead of time.
This is sure to help you to become a Lobster Ink star, and to perform brilliantly and professionally in the workplace. Good luck!
